Chapter Nine

Hector knew as soon as he opened his eyes that he had made a mistake. Not in sleeping with Will. That could never be a mistake. No, his mistake was far graver. He’d been so consumed with lust the previous night, he’d forgotten to use a condom.

So much for protecting Will.

Hector knew he’d have to admit it to the man, and considering how hard they had gone at it the previous night, it wasn’t like Will wasn’t going to be able to figure it out on his own. Hector could only pray Will didn’t get too angry with him.

Truthfully, he’d never done something like that before. He was always careful. But then, he’d never been so overcome with lust before either. Even now, just thinking about how responsive Will had been and how sexy he looked was enough to make Hector’s cock stand up and take notice.

Will snuffled and wiggled closer. Hector smiled as he watched awareness come slowly to Will. It was illuminating to see his dawning realization that they were in bed together, and the joy that instantly filled him, but only for a brief moment before a guarded look came over him.

“Good morning, tesoro.”

“Hey.”

“Did you sleep okay?”

Will blinked for a moment before smiling. “Yeah, I actually did.”

“You sound surprised.”

“I don’t usually sleep through the night.”

Hector smiled as he wrapped an arm around Will’s waist and pulled the man flush against his body. “Maybe you should sleep in my bed from now on. You know, so you get lots of rest.”

Joy danced in Will’s eyes as he laughed. Hector liked this side of him. The shine of happiness on Will’s face was a lot better than the sadness that had seemed to be permanently etched in his features.

Hector hated the fact that he was going to bust Will’s happy bubble.

“So, I need to talk to you about something.”

Yep, there went the smile.

“You want me to leave?” Will whispered.

“What? No!” Hector sighed when Will flinched. “No, baby, I don’t want you to leave. I like you right where you are. I just said you should sleep in my bed, remember? That means I want you around for a long time to come.”

Will’s brow knitted together. “Then what’s wrong?”

“I forgot to use a condom, Will.” Hector’s stomach dropped as he admitted his mistake. “I am so sorry. I know I should have remembered, but I just got so caught up in things. I know that’s no excuse, but I swear I’m clean. I’ve never gone without a condom before, and it’s been months since I’ve been with anyone else.”

Hector held his breath as he waited for Will’s reaction. He was confused by the flush that filled Will’s cheeks. He’d been expecting anger.

“Except for that one blow job, I’ve never been with anyone else.”

Hector’s entire mouth went bone dry. He swallowed hard before he asked, “You were a virgin?”

Could he be that lucky?

Could he be that stupid for not noticing?

Will winced before nodding. “I know I should have told you before we…uh…but…”

“Hostia puta!” Hector’s entire body tensed.
